A gift is not a gift unless it is accepted. God has given you His Son, but ownership is conditional on acceptance. God does not force His gift on us, but He asks us to receive by faith the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. A person who deliberately refuses God’s offer of love, mercy, and forgiveness is lost. Most people gratefully receive a gift when given in love. The greatest sin that a person can commit is to refuse God’s love.

Have you received God’s gift of forgiveness?

Prayer for the day

I reached out for Your gift of Jesus and received forgiveness and eternal life. Thank You, my heavenly Father.

It’s great to hear from God’s children each new day on this devotional page from BGEA. Each one has their own perspective on the Scriptures and they are all wonderful. God loves his children very much and in return teaches us to love one another also. Thank you, our heavenly Father. Thank you for your Son Jesus and your Holy Spirit. Thank you for each new day to ask for your forgiveness and to start another day with you. Glory to God!
