Will there be animals in heaven?

God has a special reason and place for each of His created beings. Animals, too, have a purpose in God’s creation. Man, as the highest order of creation, has been given dominion over the animal kingdom (Genesis 1:26-28).

We believe that animals were intended for man’s enjoyment and use. The Bible itself does not indicate that there is life after death for animals. It may be that God’s purpose for animals is fulfilled on this earth. However, if animals would make us happier in heaven, surely there will be a place for them there.

Some Bible interpreters have called attention to Isaiah’s description of the peace of God’s future kingdom where he says that “the wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox” (Isaiah 65:25). Heaven will lack nothing that is good and that will bring glory to God.

I am a Christian mourning the death of my cat Chantal and have found some comfort in this message. I am handicapped, alone, and rarely leave my home since I do not drive now. The loss of Chantal is the loss of my only daily loving companion. I cling to the hope she will be with me again in Heaven along with all the other animals that have been my only “children”. I wanted even some hint that this could be so and this gave me that.

  8. Beverly Boone says:

I juat heard Dr. Graham speak on the blood of Jesus. I have one more point. Just as Able;s blood spoke to God from the earth, when we have redemption through the Holy Spirit, when we pray, Jesus’s blood cries out for us to God. No man comes to the Father except throught the Son.

  9. Marsha Branock says:

My mom just died and next to her family she loved her little Sheltie dog which she rescued from a shelter so named him Lucky. He protected her even waking her up when he thought there was a fire. He never left her side and I strongly believe God would see to it that he is in heaven with her right now.

  10. steve moore says:
