I have a physical disability that the doctor says will eventually cripple me. I can't face this. You'll probably tell me to turn to God, but what good will that do? God isn't going to heal me. I don't think He even cares.

God knows all about your situation, and I want to assure you that He knows your frustration and even your anger. But He also loves you, and because He loves you He wants to help you and encourage you every day. The Bible says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Let me ask you a question: Will it be better for you to go through life’s hard times with God—or without Him? Without Him you’ll be left to your own resources—but are they enough to see you through the struggles you’re likely to face? I think you know the answer. Tragically, you would end up facing the future “without hope and without God in the world” (Ephesians 2:12).

But it doesn’t need to be this way! God loves us—and we know this not because life is perfect, but because He sent His only Son into the world to give us hope. Jesus would never have gone to the cross and given His life for you if God didn’t love you. But He does love you, and through Christ’s death and resurrection you can have hope—hope today, and hope for eternity.

By a simple prayer of faith ask Christ to come into your life today. Then thank Him for His love for you, and learn to experience His presence every day. God’s promise is for you: “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. … The Lord is my helper” (Hebrews 13:5-6).

Have you trusted Christ with everything?

First and foremost I thank God for you. Sometime I get a letter in the mail from The BGEA and it said that he thanks God for me. I know this is true because I trusted the God who you all serve. I rededicated my life to Jesus a few years ago through knowing Jesus. My coaches has been a great help. I feel like finally I am growing a little. Thank you for your prayers and help. My life has been just one trail after another. Cancer and other things. Some of my brothers and sister in Christ have judged me quite a bit. Not out of malice but out of ignorance. Yes I have sinned since I recommitted my life to Jesus and I confess them (1 John 1-9). I deal with addictions that I am not proud of. At age 64 it looks like I’m going to lose everything. God will be done.

  8. Debbie says:

I also have a physical disability since 1993. I’m not in a wheelchair but there are days it hurts to move. I put my trust in God. I believe one day I will be healed. God Bless.

  9. Sokho Oh says:

God will heal you, if you truly believed. It is not God who doesn’t heal, you mind is. With God all things are possible. I was healed my chronic back problems and genetic disorders when I truly believed He would.

    1. Sokho Oh says:

You don’t have to suffer more than you need. Physical sufferings can be gone when Lord Jesus is glorified through your paths of suffering. In fact, ordinary Christians do not want to get better by the power of the Lord Jesus whole heartedly. Doubt and disbelief always come first in their minds. Most of all, do not deceive yourself. If you want to get better you try everything including great humiliation yourself.

    2. Sokho Oh says:

Do you remember what happened before the Lord Jesus outskirts of Jericho? Two blinds shouted to the Lord Jesus yet they were forcefully humiliated and blocked by the crowds and even from the disciples. Yet they shouted all the more attracted the Lord Jesus and get healed at last. Today, there are no people like them anymore. Because people hate to be humiliated and disrespected. Then, there will be no healing!

    3. Sokho Oh says:

Do you also remember Canaanite women who followed long after the Lord Jesus? She also mistreated and ignored by the disciples. The disciples asked the Lord Jesus to kick her out of their way! Yet, the Lord Jesus tested her and granted her wish! The Lord Jesus deliberately humiliated her because He wanted to show her great faith to the public! My brothers and sisters in Christ, I beg you. No pain, no gain. No humility, no healing.

  10. Sue says:

I’ve had a physical disability for 44 yrs. and in the beginning I asked God why this happened, but as the yrs. went by I can see how God used my disability to grow spiritually and become a stronger Christian. Have faith in God and you will see in time why all of this happened. God Bless You!

    1. Lupe says:

Without trust in God I would not be able to do anything. Praise God for undeserved Love. Amen.
