Sometimes I get very angry and upset, and I lash out at God and curse Him, although I know that's wrong. Have I committed the unpardonable sin? Is it too late for me to get my life straightened out with God?

When you curse God, you are angry at Him, and you are condemning Him and telling Him He is wrong and you hate Him. More than that, you’re telling Him you don’t want anything to do with Him–and that is very serious. It tells me you’re on the wrong path in life–the path that leads only to Hell.

But listen: It’s never too late to turn to God. Yes, you may be angry at Him for some reason–but God loves you, and He yearns for you to be at peace with Him. He loves you so much that He sent His only Son into the world to die for your sins. You deserve to be cursed by God and condemned for your sins. But Christ took your curse upon Himself, and He was condemned in your place.

This is why I urge you to repent of your sins and turn to Christ. He has bridged the gap between us and God, and now He offers us God’s free gift of forgiveness and new life. The Bible says, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).

Give your life to Christ, and let Him turn your anger into love–love for God, and love for others. Why stay on your present path even one more day? Instead, by faith open your heart to Christ’s transforming power. He can turn your cursing into praise, and your anger into joy.

  1. Melissa Clark says:

Christ is a loving God and yes it hurts him when we sin against him and cursing God is a sin but that does not mean that he won’t forgive us. I have said terrible things to the Lord. Things that I regret but the Lord forgave me as soon as I stopped and asked him right there and then to forgive me. Getting mad at God is part of having a relationship with him but recognizing that this is a sin is very important. He loves us and he understands our frustrations. He knows our hearts. Don’t allow the enemy to lie to you and tell you there is no hope, there is hope in the blood of Christ always. If a person is worried about what God thinks about them then it is a good thing. That means you have a reverence for Lord God Almighty.

If you need to talk to someone right now there generally are e-counselors available for chat (this is a Billy Graham site as well): if not, there is a link for questions which will submit an e-mail to a Billy Graham representative.

I do not believe in your answer, I trusted God since I was a child, I also believe in working my Faith and walking by Faith. It has been over 4 months now my Mom and I have been praying and fasting for a financial miracle. The bible said Faith is the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things not seen. I stepped out in Faith found the house made an offer, signed the contract and my and mother and I are still waiting on that financial miracle. Now tell me where is God.

    1. Vincent Kinney says:

Denise… Your problem is you do not have faith. You prove it by going “now tell me where is God?” because He did not do things YOUR way on YOUR time scale how YOU wanted. You should pray for forgiveness for your arrogance. And so should I.
