I've made such a mess of my life and I know God doesn't want anything to do with me, because years ago, when I had the chance to turn my life over to Him, I turned away. I wanted to run my own life, and now I'm paying the price. Please tell people to accept God while they can, or they'll lose out like I have.

I sincerely hope your letter will be a warning to someone who is tempted to turn away from God–just as you were years ago. The devil’s way always looks attractive but he never delivers what he promises. The Bible’s words are still true: “The way of the unfaithful is hard” (Proverbs 13:15).

But you are wrong to say God doesn’t want anything to do with you. God loves you and yearns for you to come back to Him so He can forgive you and welcome you home. Do you remember Jesus’ parable of the prodigal son? (You can read it in Luke 15:11.) He rebelled against his father and paid a terrible price as a result. But when he came to his senses and returned home, his father welcomed him. That is what God wants to do with you.

Think of it this way. Suppose you loved someone very deeply–but then that person rejected you and turned against you. How would you feel? Would you be angry? Perhaps–but if you really loved them, I think instead you would be very sad. That is how God feels about you.

Don’t stay on the devil’s highway one more day. Turn instead to Christ and give your life to Him. No, you can’t change the past, but with Christ in your heart the future can be different–both now and in eternity.

All of my life I always said I was a Christian, but all the things I did, I don’t think God would forgive me. Though, I am working on building a close relationship with God…I need God more then ever. Please, Don’t stray from the Lord, and don’t just talk the talk, walk the walk as well. Don’t build on a fake relationship with God, be true and pure. I’m praying for the lord to change my ways and change my relationship with God. Don’t stray from the flock.

  8. Chin says:

Every time I think I finally have life down pat and I’m going to win, the rug gets pulled from underneath my feet. I am tired of setting myself up for the fall, but there is one thing that keeps me going, and that is hope. I am an old man, now 45, so my hope is slipping away. But I still have some left. After all the lies, hate, deception, I still dream and still have hope even though nothing I have done has worked. The only reason I am still in the game is because of the Almighty.

  9. Rini Azimi says:

He was nailed the a cross for ME, I am so unworthy. So lost. So sorry. So sad.

  10. Michael C. Kiblert says:

I have done the same thing. I never gave 100% of my life to Jesus. So as a result, I anguish on what could have been. I am praying now to return to him; however, the wounds hurt. I want to abide in him now because there is no other way. My life is so messed up, only Jesus can fix it. I say this because I do no know how to fix it myself. I encourage you to read the word of God each day and seek him earnestly; what else is there? AMEN
