Do you fear death? I guess I believe in life after death, but I have to admit that the thought of dying scares me. Maybe if I had more faith I wouldn't feel this way.

No one looks forward to the process of dying, of course; I think we all shrink back from the thought of the prolonged pain or lingering disability that often comes as we approach death.

But no, I don’t fear death. In fact, I look forward to it—and the reason is because I know that when I die I will go into God’s presence forever. This world is temporary; heaven is forever. This world is filled with sorrow and pain; heaven is filled with joy and freedom. This world is filled with insecurity and turmoil; heaven is filled with security and peace. In heaven, “There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” (Revelation 21:4).

How do I know I will go to heaven when I die? Not because I’ve been good enough, or because I’ve been a preacher. I know I will go to heaven when I die for one reason: Jesus Christ died and rose again so all my sins could be forgiven. When you and I trust Christ and what He did for us, the Bible says, we have “an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:4).

And this can be your assurance, as well. You don’t need to fear death! Instead, turn to Christ and ask Him to forgive your sins and come into your life today—and He will. Only one thing will keep us out of heaven, and that is our sin. But Christ died to take away our sin. Put your trust in Him without delay.

I to wonder on dying and will angels come to receive me in that moment this mortal life ends. I am dying of brain cancer and only The Lord knows when to call me home. I have surrendered my life to God and will fight the God fight so as to be pleasing in his eyes. The war has been won on the cross by our loving Savoir Jesus Christ. We only have to go through the war and in the end, we will be with Christ forever.Lord, give me strength and understanding so I will comprehend your Holy word. Coth me in the full armour of God so I can be an assit to the gospel of peace and a sower of the word so as to bring even one to know you by being born again through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savoir. In Christ’s name I pray……. amen

  5. Ginger says:

It will be a tremendous loss when the Lord takes Billy Graham home. I know that he fought the good fight and has finished his race well. I know that his earthy body is wearing down on a daily basis and that he is tired. I just pray that his legacy will gone on forever and that there will always remain the power that comes from remembering what a wonderful and priceless gift he has given to this world. I pray for his peace that passes all understanding. I pray that the Lord will comfort him, and send his mighty guardian angels to watch over him and keep him surrounded by love, respect and the honor this Godly man deserves. I also pray for those of us who will be left to carry on without him. Amen.

I thank God for Billy Graham and his ministering all my life. I know he sacrificed for all of us and I love him all the more for that. God Bless Billy Graham and his family who also gave up a lot for us.

  10. Mike Biddle says:

Very well said! I think humans have a tendency to be a little uncertain about things the first time we do something, and death is something we do once, and can’t get feedback in, so we just have to have faith in our Lord and savior.
