Franklin Graham began observing the day by praying privately for our nation and the military on the Pentagon grounds. In an interview broadcast last Wednesday, Graham told Greta Van Susteren of the Fox News Channel that he would pray at the Pentagon even though his invitation to appear at an official event was rescinded.

“I don’t have to be invited to a prayer service to pray,” he said. “I’m proud of the men and women of our Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, proud of them. I’m going to the Pentagon just to pray, and I want them to know that I support them.”
