Greta Van Susteren goes On the Record in Alaska on Monday at 7 p.m., highlighting Samaritan's Purse's Operation Heal Our Patriots program.

Make plans now—or set your DVR—to watch FOX News this Labor Day for a unique 1-hour program, beginning at 7 p.m. (ET).

On the Record with Greta Van Susteren will feature the Samaritan’s Purse Alaskan outreach—Operation Heal Our Patriots.

“We’re taking you 150 miles out in the bush, west of Anchorage,” Greta Van Susteren said. “This is where Samaritan’s Purse and the Rev. Franklin Graham have the most unbelievable program for many of our soldiers and sailors and airmen who have been hurt in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“The injuries are incredible. The program they have there is to take them way out in the wild and let them enjoy their spouses, having fun, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, bear watching.

“Because so much of the time the soldiers come back from overseas and all the attention is on the injuries,” she continued. “But no one ever sort of thinks to look at the whole, to put them back together.”

On the Record goes behind the scenes with this documentary-style, hand-held camera program, shining a light on how the 15-week Operation Heal Our Patriots is restoring marriages, many facing tremendous obstacles.

“They’re physically broken many times or sometimes emotionally broken,” Van Susteren said. “This is an unbelievable program put on by Samaritan’s Purse. It’s a program where they step back and help people put their marriages back together.”
