Billy Graham once fielded this question from a university student, and he offered the above answer without hesitation. In his autobiography, Just As I Am, he recalled the exchange with the following note:
“As I have been working on this book, many of the things I have recounted seem as if they happened only yesterday. Time moves so quickly, and no matter who we are or what we have done, the time will come when our lives will be over.
“As Jesus said, “As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work” (John 9:4).
