A True ‘Night of Hope’ in St. Louis with ‘The Cross’

After watching two My Hope videos — "Defining Moments" and "The Cross," — 80 people rededicated their lives to Christ and five made first-time decisions at an event in St. Louis this week.

Joe Gallaher, a construction company project manager from St. Louis, stepped out in faith to host a My Hope event at a high school auditorium. The hard work paid off and many prayers were answered as people responded to the Gospel Tuesday night.

Gallaher and a group of dedicated believers from multiple churches showed two My Hope videos — “The Cross” and “Defining Moments” on a big screen as part of the St. Louis “Night of Hope.” The event featured a message from George McGovern, chaplain for the New York Giants and the New York Yankees.

More than 300 people showed up. Five of them made first-time decisions for Christ, and 80 others rededicated their lives to Jesus.

Gallaher said it wasn’t like him to put on large-scale event like the “Night of Hope,” but he sensed the Holy Spirit calling him to take action.

“I didn’t have a road map or a plan at all,” he said. “Anybody who prays about this and feels like God wants to use them in this way should step out in faith. And God will take them on a wonderful journey.”
