I'm already sick of all the political commercials and speeches we keep hearing. I don't have much use for politicians, and anyway I don't intend to vote this year. Even if I did, my vote wouldn't make any difference.

I've always been concerned about the environment, and my concern has grown in recent years with all the talk about global warming and the need for alternative energy sources and things like that. Why don't churches say more about this?
A number of denominations, for example, have passed resolutions urging their members to be more active in environmental issues.

I don't think it makes any difference what religion you follow, as long as you sincerely believe in some spiritual power higher than yourself. In my opinion, all religions end up in the same place; they just take different paths to get there.
Let me ask you a question: Do you apply this idea or principle to any other part of life?

Our daughter is married to a man who has a very sarcastic tongue, and some of the things he's said have really hurt me. Our daughter says we shouldn't take him seriously because he's only kidding, but I don't see it that way. Why can't people learn to watch their tongues?
