CLINTON, Miss., March 17, 2014 – With styles ranging from contemporary to hip hop, and rock to worship, the musical acts taking the stage as part of the upcoming Central Mississippi Will Graham Celebration will provide something for everybody and bring a bevy of award-winning artists to the area.
Those who will perform include Grammy Award-nominated artists like the Rhett Walker Band and Canton Jones, and decorated music veterans Paul Baloche and Matthew West, whose songs are sung in churches across the country every Sunday morning.
Dove Award New Artist of the Year and Album of the Year winners The Afters and Texas-based hip hop star Tedashii round out the featured performers.
“A significant amount of thought and prayer went into finding the perfect musicians to come alongside Will for the Celebration,” said Celebration Director Bob Hickling. “We hope that the community is as excited as we are with the great artists who will be here, and will come out to see awesome performances followed by Will’s inspiring messages.”
In addition to the nightly Celebration events, a special program for children – called KidzFest – will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, March 29. Go Fish, a kid-focused band that has performed at several Will Graham Celebrations over the years, will entertain the crowd. KidzFest will also include a program called The Greatest Journey, a live performance adapted from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association’s children’s curriculum of the same name.
