Choosing Christ Changes Lives: In the Next Billy Graham TV Special
See how the Gospel is helping people deal with turmoil around the world
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 6, 2011 – From Japan to Haiti and around the world, disaster and tragedy is a part of a very present reality. In the next Billy Graham TV special, online at billygraham.tv beginning Feb. 6, viewers see how people enduring their darkest moments are being reached by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association with the Gospel.
“The greatest change we need today is the change in the human heart.” Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association explains how life-changing choices are being made in response to a timeless truth presented around the world – choosing Christ.
Through many types of adversity and hardship, people in countries around the world are seeking help, guidance, love and refuge in their everyday lives. These stem from events such as the 2010 earthquake in Haiti and the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan; yet other challenges like infidelity, economic downturn and violence also impact lives.
“We have a choice. We can accept or we can reject -and it’s a choice. You can choose life or you can choose death,” says Graham. Statistics show that the majority of people living in the world are non-Christian, the hope and goal of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is to impact people to make a choice for Christ.
In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and life.” The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association believes that choosing Christ in difficult times changes lives. See an exclusive look at Billy Graham preaching on choices from San Jose, Calif. in 1981 online at billygraham.tv.
In 2011, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association presented the message of the Gospel to over a half million people through Franklin Graham Festivals alone – a message that brought healing to hearts in Haiti, Liberia, Lithuania, India and in the cities of Los Angeles, Denver, Milwaukee and Winnipeg.
