CHARLOTTE, N.C., January 31, 2006 -- "Coretta Scott King was greatly loved and admired by Ruth and me. We have been with her on a number of occasions and we loved her very much.
"She was a Christian example of a wife and mother. She took the legacy of her husband to new heights and depths. Her passing will leave a great void not only in the civil rights movement but also in our hearts.
