Live Creatively for Christ

Living creatively for Christ in the home is the acid test for any Christian man or woman. It is far easier to live an excellent life among your friends, when you are putting your best foot forward and are conscious of public opinion, than it is to live for Christ in your home. Your own family circle knows whether Christ lives in you and through you. If you are a true Christian, you will not give way at home to bad temper, impatience, fault-finding, sarcasm, unkindness, suspicion, selfishness, or laziness. Instead, you will reveal through your daily life the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, and all the other Christian virtues which round out a Christ-like personality.

Prayer for the day

My family, Lord, knows the real me—they deserve so much more. May I live so close to You that Your love will flow through me to them.

I love watching Evangilistic messages by Dr Billy Graham in the 50s. Am taking lots of notes in preparation for our family reunion hopefully early next year. Majority, do not know Christ. Primary purpose to unite is to bring the ONLY message of hope to lost souls. Much prayer and staying close to God, listening to His devine direction is my hearts desire. I want to emulate you Billy Graham and bring the message plain and clear the way you do, God Bless you with much love in Yeshua Messiah

I am ashamed of the real me, who I really am! I needed to see this devotion today. I’m not dealing with my marriage very well, he is not a christian- it’s been a difficult marriage & I have been very unhappy & depressed. My husband used to be supportive but now it’s just the opposite. I’m struggling/fighting to hang on to God every day. That’s why I am ashamed of the real me, I not who I need & want to be. Please pray for me.

Definitely praying for you, your husband, and family! Let God nestle you under his mighty protective wings and he’ll take care of you. I am convinced in my own marriage, as for a long time I was selfish and unsupportive, that only the mighty love and fervent prayers of my wife brought me to salvation. I can tell by your post that you’re that kind of wife, hang in there and the joy of the Lord will return.

Sweet Child, I pray that you will sense God’s presence in your life. I pray that you will also feel connected to the greater body of Christ (all you Christian brothers and sisters). I pray that God will lead you to forgive and love anyone who persecutes your faith. And most of all I pray that you will be refreshed through God’s Word and continue to grow. After all…..Christ has set you free!
