Q:

I have one problem after another. Has God forgotten me?

A:

We are sometimes at a loss to know why difficulty is permitted in our lives; however, God has not promised us lives of ease. As a matter of fact, God allows such things to happen that we might be awakened to our need to live in greater dependence upon Him, and in due time God will reveal His greater purposes in our lives.

We trust you will allow these trials to be a means of leading you to make a personal commitment of your life to Christ as Savior and Lord (Romans 4:5, Ephesians 2:8-9, and John 1:12) or of drawing you closer to Him. Then you will find that His comfort and love will more than meet your need; read Ephesians 3:20.

Never feel that God has forsaken you, for He is unchanging in His love and grace. The Bible says, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5b). Remember, His love is constant and everlasting, as God has revealed to us in the gift of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. May your faith be grounded in Christ Himself that you may know His will (James 1:5, 3:17).
